Medium Cloud Point Glycol RXSOL MCPG is a broad cloud-point, wide molecular weight range, additive designed for medium-to-high salinity polyglycol systems. It can provide improved shale stability, lubricity, high-temperature filtration control, plus reduce dilution rates and bit balling.RXSOL MCPG is recommended for freshwater to seawater polyglycol systems. While polyglycols are most effective when used in conjunction with an inhibitive salt in non-dispersed polymer systems, they can be used as additives in most water-base systems.It is a free flowing liquid,without dirt and other visible foreign suspended matter and has a mild odour. It is primarily used in KCL and PHPA muds.

Using Procedure:
Spraying Following rough washing to a good Water White or better, apply dilute RXSOL ORG DICHLOR to 1 - 3% strength. First wet the tank surface (spray with DI water), then spray all over with Bleach, wait 30 minute (but do not allow it to dry) and then rinse very well with DI water, including the tank top towards the sump. To ensure that you have covered all areas properly, this process should be carried out at least twice with good DI water.

Re-circulation Following rough washing to a good Water White standard or better, apply dilute RXSOL ORG DICHLOR to 1-3% strength. Mix sufficient Bleach with fresh water in the tank and heat this mixture to 40 - 50 0 C, circulate through the drop line if fitted and then circulate through butterworth machine for 3 hours. After re-circulation immediately warm butterworth to (500 C) the tank for 3 hours at maximum pressure, increase the water temperature to 80-85 o C after 45 minutes. Check (by smell) that there is no Bleach remaining, then fresh water rinse and dry.
** When there are a number of tanks requiring re-circulation, it may be significantly more efficient to make up a large batch or number of batches that can be transferred on between tanks as required.
* Use a strainer at the pump stack when circulating any solution.

Concentrated effective cleaner for contaminated FUEL OIL , cargo tanks . It's high emulsification formula easily reacts with residue / sludge deposits .RXSOL-20-2029-020 is used as a tank cleaner or for general degreasing , cleaning and gas freeing for double bottom tanks, wing tanks, tank lines, fuel oil tanks, etc .

Using-Procedure
SprayingThis can be beneficial as part of the initial cleaning process after the carriage of Lube oils and Lube oil additives. As soon as the tank in question has been checked empty by the attending surveyor, RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus should be sprayed over all surfaces which are safely reachable.
Portable machines After 45 minutes the butterworth machines should be operated for 3 x 20 minutes drops using warm 60o C, then the machines brought back to the top and a full hot wash 80 - 85 o C should be carried out for at least 6 hours.
Fixed machines Wash ambient for 45 minutes followed by warm water for one cycle before increasing to hot (80oC) for 4 hours.
Injection This can be carried out by injecting RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus into the butterworth system after the heater. A normal amount to use would be 100 -150 liters during the initial washing cycle. Water temperature should be 60o C during the injection period then brought up to 80 - 85 o C for the full washing period.
Re-circulation:
Possibly the best results are achieved by re-circulating a solution of RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus after the initial rough washing of the tank. A sufficient amount of fresh water to maintain good suction should be heated to 60 o C and approximately 420 liters of RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus (2 drums) added for each 500 liters of fresh water. The temperature of the mixture can be increased depending upon the melting point of the product being cleaned. The solution should be circulated for at least 4 hours and the butterworth machines operated at maximum pressure in all areas of the tank throughout this process. If a number of tanks are to be circulated, then a substantial quantity of solution can be made so that transfers can be made without delay and any small amounts lost will not affect the operation. Normally following transfer to another tank, 100 liters RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus is added for each 5000 liters of solution. This is called spiking.

VOYAGE SOL CLEANER Seawater cmpability: RXSOL-20-2016-025
Specially formulated for cleaning of FUEL / BUNKER oily greasy surface of tanks with SEA WATER .
Its higher emulsification and penetrating agents makes this an excellent liquid scouring cleanser for cleaning and degreasing of double bottom, deep tanks etc which is used for fuel oils . It can also be used for BOILERS , MARINE DIESEL ENGINE COOLING WATER SYSTEM and for local cleaning and degreasing of engine rooms on deck.

Using Procedure:
Should be diluted at the rate of 1/2 to 1 ltr of concentrate to 1000 ltrs, of water. for the Rock & roll method tank cleaning. It is a liquid blend of concentrated emulsifier with a high solvency base cleaner with excellent oil-in-sea water emulsification ability . BEST SUBSTITUTE of Gas Freeing petroleum oil tanks .
Directions for Use and Dose Rates:- RXSOL-20-2016 is specially formulated for cleaning double bottom, deep and wing tanks etc, used for fuel oils. It can also be used for local cleaning and degreasing of engine rooms and on deck.
Soak Method:- for heavy soil put parts into undiluted RXSOL-20-2016, for general soiling use a solution of 10-30% RXSOL-20-2016 in water. Parts should be soaked for at least 30 minutes before washing off with water.
Spraying Method:- Use neat RXSOL-20-2016 over all soiled areas. Allow 10-20 minutes for reaction , then rinse with a high pressure water hose., Scrubbing will assist the cleaning operation for stubborn deposits.
Rock and Roll Method:-Recommended time to clean and gas-free under normal circumstances would be 3-6 days ,for cleaning of double bottom tanks at sea.
01) First of all heat the remaining oil in tanks .
02)By stripping constantly. flush the tank with sea water,
03) Close all suction and discharge valves .
04) 1st Dose Fill the tanks by ½ to 1 litre RXSOL-20-2016 per ton of water through pipe or manhole , for 75-80% of capacity of tank to be cleaned.
05) Then fill the tank to 25% capacity with sea water, raise the temperature up to 60°C maximum, and maintain this temperature for 24 hours.
06) Top up the tank to 75-80% capacity with sea water, continue to heat for 48 to 72 hours.
07) Discharge and strip tank. Fill to 50-60% capacity with sea water and allow 2 hours rinsing time.
08) Discharge tank and strip, flushing tank with sea water for 2 hours,stripping continuously. When completed, inspect the tank to ascertain if second cleaning is required. If so:
09) For completion add a second dose of RXSOL-20-2016, fill the tank with sea water 75-80% capacity and raise the temperature to 60°C maximum. Maintain this for 48 to 72 hours. And recirculate the solution .
10) Discharge and strip tank, flush with sea water, stripping continuously for 2 hours.
11) To gas-free, fill the tank with sea water to overflow through vents and sounding pipes, discharge and strip completely.

Glyceryl Monostearate, is a fatty acid derived from vegetable oil, Soy Oil, or Palm Kernel Oil; however, it is also naturally occurring in the human body. This wax-like substance appears white or cream in color and is produced when Glycerin and Stearic Acid undergo esterification. Traditionally, it is used in formulations for its emulsifying properties. Glyceryl Stearate SE also contains Sodium Stearate and/or Potassium Stearate. The “SE” of Glyceryl Stearate SE stands for “Self-Emulsifying,” as it is a self-emulsifying form of Glyceryl Stearate.
Glyceryl monostearate (GMS) is an effective emulsifier used in the baking industry available in the form of small beads, flakes, or powders. In addition to emulsification, GMS is a thickening agent and a stabilizer.
In baking, it is used to improve dough quality and stabilize fat/protein emulsions.
Composition:
The ratio of hydrophilic to lipophilic moieties, called hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) is used in classifying emulsions. HLB values range from 0-20 with lower values indicating dominant lipophilic character while higher values indicate hydrophilic character. GMS has a HLB value of 3.8, making it lipophilic and suitable for uses in w/o emulsions, such as batters and doughs, dairy and other products.
GMS is used in a paste form, i.e. mixed with water and other ingredients to improve gel stability. It is an unsaturated monoglyceride and offers better stability than other unsaturated monoglycerides, such as oleic acid.

SODIUM PROPIONATE :
Sodium propionate or sodium propionate, the sodium salt of propanoic acid that can be used as a preservative in food with the European food additive number E281. The common use for this ingredient is as a mold inhibitor in baked goods as they’re easily contaminated with the moisture in the air during cooling, slicing and packaging after the baking process. Sodium propionate is a common food additive that is industrially manufactured but also occurs in nature. Since it is toxic to mold and some species of bacteria, it is an especially effective additive in baked goods or other products that are susceptible to spoilage. It is a safe compound when encountered at the low levels found in food.
Product Application:
Chemically synthesized sodium propionate is most commonly used as a preservative in the food industry. It prevents the growth of mold and some bacteria, thereby prolonging the shelf life of packaged baked goods. According to the Code of Federal Regulations, sodium propionate is generally recognized as safe when used as a food additive. It is also used to prevent mold growth in packaged and processed cheese products. In addition, ammonium propionate is used as an additive in animal feed to prevent overgrowth of unwanted bacteria in the stomachs of livestock.
Sodium propanoate is primarily used in baked goods to extend the shelf life and can also be used in the following foods in to inhibit the growth of mold and other microbes Nonalcoholic beverages
The common use of sodium propionate is in bread and the recommended usage is 0.2-0.5% of flour weight for standard bakery recipes.
Sodium propionate can also slow or prevent the growth of the bacterium Listeria, a common contaminant in packaged cheeses and lunch meats, according to an article published in the October 2007 issue of the "Journal of Food Protection." The use of sodium propionate as a food additive is ideal because its effective concentrations are low enough that you can't taste it in products.

Degreaser Dual strength Surfactant : RXSOL-10-1739-020
This powerful SURFACTANT based cleaner degreaser works where others fail. Formulated with several different ingredients including a dual surfactant system. This formula works on extremely tough jobs that require extra strength. Concentrated, this product may be diluted with up to 200 parts water for the greatest economy. This product may be used for degreasing and contains corrosion protection. Rust preventatives form a corrosion inhibiting coating when diluted cleaner is not rinsed from metal surfaces.

Passivation Method verson II: RXSOL-20-1106-100
To effectively passivate the free-machining stainless steels, Carpenter has developed the A-A-A (alkaline-acid-alkaline) process that neutralizes trapped acid. This method of passivation can be accomplished in less than 2 hours. Here is the step-by-step procedure:
1st Step : After degreasing, soak the parts for 30 minutes in a 5 percent solution of sodium hydroxide at 160ºF to 180ºF (71º C to 82º C).
2nd Step : Then rinse the part thoroughly in water.
3rd Step : Next, immerse the part for 30 minutes in a 20 percent-by-volume nitric acid solution containing 3 ounces per gallon (22 g/liter) of sodium dichromate at 120ºF to 140ºF (49º C to 60º C).
After removing the part from this bath, flush it with water, then immerse it in the sodium hydroxide solution for another 30 minutes. Rinse the part again with water and dry it, completing the A-A-A method.
Product Application:
Procedure of Passivation :
1. Isolate the exchanger and set up a circuit with an external tank with heating coil inside and a pump to circulate the cleaning solution.
FLUSHING:-
2. Flush the Exchanger with fresh water to remove loose material (like dirt etc.) till such time clear water comes.
INHIBITED ACID CLEANING:-
3. Circulate inhibited Acid (5-6 % Citric Acid and 1% Rodine 213) along with non ionic wetting agent like RXSOL-T300 through Exchanger Loop for 6 to 8 hours
4. Its total iron concentration reaches 5000 – 8000 PPM and concentration below 2% acid percentage then dump the cleaning solution and repeat the cycle with fresh inhibited acid.
5. Samples to be tested for pH, TDS and iron on hourly basis.
6. Normal operating temperature should be 50-60º C.
7. When iron concentration and acid concentration of solution reaches steady state and cleaning is completed. Drain the cleaning solution.
NEUTRALIZING:-
8. Circulate 1-2% solution of soda Ash for one to two for neutralization.
9. Rinse the neutralizing solution with water till the pH of the Inlet and Outlet is the same.
PASSIVATION:-
10. Immediately fill and Circulate with 1-3% of solution of sodium Hexametaphosphate for 4-6 hours keeping operating temperature around 50-60º C. Analyze for Phosphate levels in Inlet and Outlet. (Normally maintain 30-40 PPM O-PO4 level)
11. Drain the passive solution without flushing with water.
DRYING:-
12. Dry the circuit with dry air/N2.

Butyl Stearate is a stable, colorless, odorless oily liquid that is resistant to oxidation. It is soluble in acetone, ethanol, mineral and vegetable oils and insoluble in water. It acts primarily as a lubricant on the skin’s surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance. Butyl Stearate also decreases the thickness of lipsticks, thereby lessening the drag on lips, imparts water repelling characteristics to nail polishes, and dries to form a thin, non-greasy, hydrophobic film when applied to the skin or lips. It can also be used in fragrances and conditioners.

LAC Alka Liquid HD 210 Ltr : RXSOL-20-2015-210
Well balanced alkaline cleaner. It is free hydrocarbon solvents.Gentle & suitable for tank cleaning operation. A very strong alkaline cleaner, which can be used to soften up / remove baked on drying oils and also used after animal and vegetable oils, fish oils, tall oils, tung oil etc. It is a low toxic product with an exceptional solvency power on soil & oily matter.It is free from Hydrocarbon solvents , Biodegradable and minimizes the extreme hazards to personnel in handling materials.
Product Application:
It can be used as a general purpose cleaner to remove oil and grease deposits. First of all flush the system with cold water to prevent evaporation rates and polymerization then the most economical method of using RXSOL-20-2015-210 is by direct injection followed by recirculation washing, using tank cleaning machines. Spraying Method – Using LAC as delivered in drums, spray onto areas where residue remains following rough washing leave for 10-45 minutes (but do not allow to dry), then butterworth at maximum pressure and warm water 60oC for at least 3 hours, checking that there is no foam remaining in the final stages. Inspects tanks(s) and if desired result has been achieved fresh water rinse and dry.

Using Procedure:
Vegetable and Animal Oils (Cleaning Procedure)
For effective cleaning of animal and vegetable oils the first cleaning step is of utmost importance. Vegetable oils are divided in:
Non-drying products
Semi-drying products
Drying products
Fatty acids Non Drying Products
1. Butterworth the tank with seawater or freshwater with a temperature 20°C. above the melting point of the product to be cleaned. After sufficient pre-cleaning of at least 1.5 hours the temperature can be increased. Drying and Semi-drying ProductsThese are oxidising products and through reaction with oxygen they will dry and harden. Tank cleaning should be executed as soon as possible after discharge. High temperatures (e.g. cleaning or steaming) and heated cargoes in adjacent tanks should be avoided.
2. Butterworth the tank with cold to warm seawater or freshwater.If the product has a higher melting point Butterworth the tank with seawater or freshwater with a temperature maximum 10°C above the melting point of the product. After sufficient pre-cleaning of at least 1.5 – 2 hours the temperature can be increased. Fatty Acids or vegetable/animal oils with high free fatty acid content see the cleaning suggestion of Fatty Acids.
3. If seawater was used in step 1 it is of utmost importance to flush/rinse the tank with freshwater before cleaning as per step 3 is continued.
4. Final cleaning Prepare the following solution in freshwater (see table):
Make solution emulsification 0. 4 % RXSOL-20-2015-210 Butterworth the tank with the prepared solution for 1, 5-2, 0 hours by recirculation. The necessary temperature can be achieved / maintained by means of heating coils, cargo heat exchanger or Butterworth heater. Depending on the amount of product residues the solution can be used for 1 to 4 tanks. On some vegetable/animal oils it is recommended to saponify additionally the product residues (see table): Therefore prepare one of the following solutions (B or C) in
freshwater (see table):
5. continuedButterworth the tank with the prepared solution for 1, 5-2, 0 hours by recirculation. The necessary temperature can be achieved /maintained by means of heating coil (service tank) cargo heat exchanger or Butterworth heater. If RXSOL-20-2015-210 is used the cleaning temperature should be 60-70°C. And If sodium or Potassium Hydroxide is used the cleaning temperature should be 60.C. If RXSOL-20-2015-210 is used the cleaning temperature can be 70-80°C. Depending on the amount of product residues the solution can be used for 1 to 3 tanks.
6. Butterworth the tank 1 hour with hot seawater
7. Rinse the tank with fresh water
8. Inspect the tank; if white residues or a white film is present (calcium/magnesium soaps or carbonate) Butterworth the tank with one the following solution: 3-5% RXSOL-16-1011-210 ( www.rxmarine.com/metal-brite-210-ltrs-pkg ) The cleaning temperature should be moderate (50°C.) Use heating coils not the Butterworth heater.
9. Flush the tank with freshwater
10.Ventilate, mop and dry the cargo tank.

Re-circulation Method :
Fill tank with fresh water and heat up to warm 50 oC .IF a drop line is available on the tank line system, then start to circulate the water and add the required amount of Caustic flakes and LAC to make a 2.5% solution. A stronger solution can be made, but be advised that too much Caustic and too high temperature will result in white powder all over the tank. Under normal circumstances, between 2.5% and 4.5% will be sufficient strength. If there is no drop line, then lower butterworth hoses into the tank from the pump stack header without machines attached and circulate through these hoses while you fill the solution material.
* Use a strainer at the pump stack when circulating any solution.*
