Ammonium iron(II) sulfate hexahydrate, also known as Mohr's salt, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2·6H2O, a double salt of ferrous sulfate and ammonium sulfate, and is a common laboratory reagent. Ammonium iron(II) sulfate hexahydrate is widely utilized in analytical chemistry for titration purposes since it is affected lesser by oxygen in the air than iron(II) sulpahte. It is employed to measure high doses of gamma rays by using Fricke's dosemeter.
